NBA: Western Powerhouse

Now, it’s time to judge the teams of the West! Who d’ya think will top the West this season? Who’s gonna go to the Playoffs? The Suns certainly look formidable with Amare Stoudamire backÂ but they need the “old Amare” back for them to lord it over the rest of the West. Dallas sure is going to get back at Miami, and wants nothing less than a championship. San Antonio would like to redeem lost glory which they lost last season at their own home floor in an epic seven-game series against Dallas. The two L.A. teams would like to prove that last season was no fluke, and that TinseltownÂ has it’s own contenders. And New Orleans, could this be the season where they would enter the postseason for the first time since moving to the highly competitive Western Conference? This and more questions. So where does your team stand? Make your vote!

The NBA season is just around the corner! We all miss it and the long wait will finally be over by the end of this month. But as early as now, i would like to pose this question: Who will lead the East by the end of this season? Post your ideas here!

Forum: Why UST Beat Ateneo ?

The UAAP wars have long been over. And the University of Sto. Thomas (UST) Growling Tigers emerged surprisingly as the champions, after ten years of title drought, and their 19th trophy. The Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagle led the league, as far as team standings are concerned, all throughout the 69th season. They were expected to win the title. However, fate intervened and the UST contingent, despite sitting at the cellar at the end of the first round, completed a cinderella season, winning eight of their lastÂ ten games.

UST was crowned two weeks ago, but the memories of the season, and most especially of that fateful game three still send chills down my spine. I really need you guys to help me out in putting an end to my shock, andÂ blurt outÂ to my faceÂ how UST won the UAAPÂ crown, deemed as an impossible task at the start of the recently concluded tournament. I am expecting your insights and observations. Just place your comments below.
