After a year of suspension, the Dela Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers are back in the UAAP college cage wars. It can be recalled that the Green Archers were suspended for last year’s tournament because they fielded two ineligible players for three years. All their achievements during those years were taken back, which includes a championship trophy they won in 2004.
And they’re back and they are one in their cause. They appeared to be hungry and angry in yesterday’s opening game against a stunned University of the Philippines (UP) quintet. From the get-go, shots were pouring on for DLSU as they stormed to a 14-0 start.
The year of absence certainly made them formidable as they are bent on getting back that title to Taft Avenue. They thrashed UP, 82-61.
